This class was designed to provide you with a basic overview of data remanence and the importance of sanitizing storage media. The purpose of the course is to increase your general knowledge of the topic and to provide you with information on the DOE policies and procedures for the clearing, sanitization and destruction of storage media. This course addresses the policies and procedures for media used in both the classified and unclassified environments.
