Call for Papers
This conference is intended for and presented by members of the information management community and offers a mix of management and technical presentations. The Steering Committee invites you to submit a proposal for a conference session, panel, or workshop.
Specifically, the objectives of the conference are to:
- Exchange strategic, tactical, managerial, and operational information concerning current and planned information technologies and office automation support systems across the Department.
- Promote a comprehensive and uniform approach to records management and improve the Department's records management processes.
- Provide guidance, standards, and vision for making investment decisions and tracking performance of those investments.
- Improve cooperation and collaboration in the management of information to cost-effectively meet the needs of the Department.
- Train attendees in new technology and best practices, advocate new methods, and ensure that Departmental Elements are managing IT resources in accordance with OMB and Departmental requirements and guidelines.
This year's agenda is divided into three tracks: Best Practices; Research and Development; and Records Management. The areas, as described below, indicate general interest; however, proposals on related subjects are also welcome. Traditional formats as well as innovative presentations, such as interactive audience discussions, panel debates, "what not to do" lessons learned, and workshops, are also encouraged. Come and share your knowledge and experience so this year's conference will be the best yet!
