About the Conference

Changes are taking place as the Agencies move forward to implementing the President's Management Agenda and supporting e-Government initiatives. The Department of Energy Office of the Chief Information Officer, partnering with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is pleased to host the Annual Information Management Conference (AIMC), to address the needs and challenges of institutionalizing changes into the agency business lines. The focus will be on information technology as an enabler: how e-Gov and PMA changes are incorporated into business practices through people, process, and performance.

This year's AIMC, hosted by Rose Parkes, DOE Chief Information Officer, and Kim Nelson, EPA Chief Information Officer, is planned for Tuesday, June 8 through Thursday, June 10, 2004, at the Hyatt Regency Columbus Hotel, Columbus, Ohio. This year the Conference will offer three tracks: Records Management, Best Practices, and IT Management/Operations. This conference is the principal working-level forum for information exchange. This year's conference theme is "Managing Change: People, Process, and Performance."

The conference agenda includes educational sessions, technical presentations, and exhibits. The conference also provides opportunities for the exchange of information as well as networking with representatives from Headquarters and Field sites, the Office of Management and Budget, the National Archives and Records Administration, and other Federal Agencies. There is no registration fee to attend.
